Waste Management

Non Hazardous vs Hazardous One of the first things to figure out is whether the waste you have on hand is actually non hazardous or hazardous. A1-GROUP Environmental can easily help you with this. Generally speaking, if your waste has characteristics of toxicity, corrosivity, reactivity, or ignitability, it will immediately fall into the hazardous waste category and cannot be disposed of as non hazardous waste. The way the world views waste is constantly changing and new technologies and policies come into play often with regards to how to properly dispose of waste. This is another part of the process that we’re able to assist you in. We’re able to create a specialized waste solution that meets your needs. Non Hazardous Waste Management Although you may rely on other companies to haul away and dispose of your non hazardous waste, here at A1-GROUP Environmental we take it to the next level. We provide a complete assessment of your current waste streams and provide a unique and effective solution to reduce your waste and in some cases, recycle it into a new reusable product or send it out for a beneficial reuse. Whether it’s a one-time shipment opportunity or a large recurring project our team’s approach will find you the best results. We will assist you with waste minimization to save your company money on disposal costs. Non Hazardous Waste Disposal While committing ourselves to a better environment, A1-GROUP Environmental works only with the most trusted, professional  reliable and licensed for waste disposal  as well as interested parties for your beneficial reuse streams. We can provide you with all of the necessary certificates of disposal for your records too. We take pride in our thorough documentation of the waste streams we manage.

RAIL & TANKER CAR CLEANING

A1-GROUP offers stationary modular systems for washing railroad car tankers and auto tankers. Our first system, intended for railroad transportation, oil, and petrochemical industries, plays an important role in maintaining environmental safety. The system’s pay-off period is very short due to the value of the recovered petroleum products, low cost of the solid waste disposal in comparison with a sludge, high efficiency of operation, and possibility to contract other businesses for tank cleaning services. The system also saves money by preventing penalties for lack of compliance with environmental regulations. Our second system is a standard auto tanker washing system that is suitable for general cleaning of road tankers that are used to carry a variety of commodities.

Our third washing system is designed specifically for cleaning food grade tank trailers and vessels. This modular machine contains all the equipment and controls required to properly clean food grade carriers. The system can be configured to wash either one or two tankers simultaneously. GENERAL PURPOSE ROAD TANKER CLEANING KMT’s complete stationary modular systems are intended for railroad transportation, oil, and petrochemical industries. The implementation of these systems plays an Important role in maintaining environmental safety. The system pay-off period is very short due to the value of the recovered petroleum products, low cost of the solid waste disposal in comparison with a sludge, high efficiency of operation, and possibility to contract other businesses for tank cleaning services. The system also saves money by preventing penalties for lack of compliance with environmental regulations. KSA government requirements for fire- and explosion-proof equipment has been achieved by designing the equipment according to the guidelines of the KSA. Labor Safety Department, using a hydraulic power supply and controls with no electric wiring. There is no human-operator present inside the railroad tank car during the internal washing operation. The system design is flexible and able to meet customer’ requirements for sewage discharge, washing solutions, etc. And also takes into consideration the local weather conditions.

As a part of the process for railroad tank car washing, a water and oil recovery system was developed based on perennial studies. A1GROUP International understands that particular markets have specific needs – we are able to customize our systems based on customer requirements. AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR FOODGRADE TRUCKS AND VESSELS A1GROUP offers a tanker washing system designed specifically for cleaning food grade tank trailers and vessels. This modular machine contains all the equipment and controls required to properly clean food grade carriers. The system can be configured to wash either one or two tankers at a time and is pasteurized milk ordinance 3A guidelines compliant. Each system runs four fully automatic wash cycles that are currently required to meet food manufactures and regulatory agency requirements. A programmable logic controller (PLC) operates all of the machine functions during wash cycles to eliminate operator errors. Water is cascaded through the system to reduce consumption, allowing a typical type II wash cycle to use as little as 400 gallons of fresh water per wash. The system utilizes in-line heating of the wash solutions through steam heat exchangers that allow rinse temperatures up to 212-degree F. All wash cycles are finished with an ambient temperature by fresh water rinse with the option to inject a USDA/FDA approved sanitizer. In addition to providing a final rinse and sanitizing, this step intended to cool down the tank before the hatches are closed and seals installed. Additional provisions are made to air-dry tankers using Hepa-filtered air – this step is usually required when tankers are used to transport refined food grade oils.

OIL TANK & RESERVOIR CLEANING

Mega MACS is an in-situ solution, allowing for the processes of tank cleaning and waste processing to be done by one machine. The Mega MACS system is a mobile, energy independent solution that is easily adaptable for local conditions and variety of projects related to cleaning tanks, pits, etc. The system is modular and can meet any customer’s requirements. The main unit extracts sludge, performs preliminary sludge separation and is able to clean tanks to the level of welding repairs. Production capacity is up to 15 cubic meters/hr of sludge. The three-phase centrifuge further separates removed sludge (a mix of oil, water, solids) received after main unit processing. The output content depends on the initial sludge composition and customer requirements. Excellent oil quality can be achieved using this unit. Production capacity is 15 cubic meters/hr. Both units are completely mobile and energy independent. They are moved around by a regular truck with 5th wheel device. As the units finish cleaning one oil storage tank, they are trucked to the next tank. The time required for mobilization and demobilization is 4 hours each. The units are able to operate up to 150 m from the tank and can be placed outside the bund-wall

The Mega MACS system can, on average, clean a 10,000 cubic meter tank in less than a week. Mega MACS have been used for tanks from 5,000 to 120,000 cubic meters. The oldest system has been in operation for 16 years. The best available off shelf components are used in the system construction, making it easy to maintain with readily available spare parts. Equipment pay-off time depends on local regulations and conditions. The average pay-off time for a Mega Macs system is 13 months. DISCOVER THE BENEFITS There are countless benefits to employing the Mega Macs system: • Safety of operations • Reduced cost of cleaning per cubic meter • Improved tank turn-over through faster cleaning .
